Job Description

Managing/updating the purchasing delivery schedule and order chasing.Dealing with stock ordering and fulfilment to cover varying demands of the businessClient DetailsAn Ecommerce Homeware retailer in the Leeds area. The business sells several different products for the home. They have been featured in GQ, Home & Garden to name a few. Due to strong trade over the last 8 months they are now looking to expand their Buying& Merchandise team.Description

  • Processing and tracking Purchase Orders in line with business needs.
  • Managing/updating the purchasing delivery schedule and order chasing.
  • Dealing with stock ordering and fulfilment to cover varying demands of the business.
  • Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems as required.
  • Working closely with internal teams - planning and logistics to ensure efficiencies.
  • Managing the correct stock and quantities at the appropriate dates in line with cash flows and demands.
  • Ensure physical stock accuracy is maintained.
  • To undertake other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function and the department.
  • Liaising with carriers and hauliers to manage the process with minimal problems
  • Optimising stock levels to ensure forecast demand is met and overstocking is avoided
  • Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business functions.
  • Raising and tracking purchase orders timely.
  • Liaising with suppliers daily to monitor the shipment schedule.
  • Liaise with the warehouse to fulfil the stock booking process.
  • Manage launch/back in stock dates on the website.
  • Support the Merchandiser with weekly reporting/forecasting when necessary.
Profile
  • Has minimum 1 years experience within a Procurement, Supply Chain, merchandising or similar
  • Some experience of planning and supplier relationship management would be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • IT literate- Intermediate knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUPs, Sumifs etc)
  • Analytical, strong numerical skills, good attention to detail
  • Capable of working within a team and use own initiative
  • Proactive and positive can do attitude
