An exciting opportunity has arisen within a thriving, UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy delivering expert asbestos services to a diverse client base. They currently seek the services of an experienced, organised and driven Asbestos Lab Analyst basedin and around the Leeds area. The successful postholder will hold the P401 asbestos certificate and will come from a similar laboratory based role within the asbestos industry carrying out bulk analysis of asbestos samples. Applications from Huddersfield,Leeds, Halifax and the surrounding areas will be considered.Qualifications & Experience:Must hold the P401 asbestos qualification.Must have valid and varied experience working within a laboratory/asbestos environment.Previous experience in carrying out analysis on soil samples will be advantageous. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.Must be fully conversant of the Health & Safety procedures.Must have excellent organizational skills. Postholder Responsibilities: Receiving and preparing asbestos bulk samples.Carrying out bulk analysis of asbestos materials, etc., entering the results in LIMS and generating accurate data in line with UKAS standards.Maintaining and assisting quality control and data in an appropriate and accurate way and complying with the companys quality systems.Ensuring that all analytical equipment used are kept clean and up to date..Liaising with clients and managers as and when required - addressing issues effectively and appropriately.Addressing any issues pertaining to laboratory tests.Ensuring that samples are stored appropriately or returned to the right place.Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety procedures.Carrying out any other laboratory duties as and when required.Carrying out some Admin duties when required.In general, the successful applicant will be competent, flexible, have good attention to detail and have the aptitude to work on own initiative and as part of a team.This is a good opportunity to join a successful company that offers a competitive salary, depending on expertise and along with many other benefits.Future Select are the leading market supplier for recruitment in the Asbestos industry, we work with the best clients & candidates and supply the majority of permanent jobs in the asbestos market.
