Job Description

Here at KVH we are looking for an experienced Account Payable Clerk to join our team based in Leeds City Centre. You will join an already established, fast paced Finance team consisting of Management Accounts, Credit Control, Cask Allocation and Accounts Payable. This is a new role in the Leeds team, having recently been transferred from our office in Rhode Island, so there will be plenty of opportunity for you to develop the role and suggest where improvements could be made.The Leeds office…Leeds is our UK Headquarters (we have another office in Liverpool!) and is home to KVH Studios which creates tailored in-store radio, music and digital signage to a variety of outlets so you will certainly be joining a creative bunch. The Finance and HR functions based here service the wider organisation covering the EMEA and APAC Region. We are based on Wellington Street, just a short walk to the train station or into Leeds City Centre and situated just across the road from Wellington Place which offers a mix of office, retail, food and drink outlets.A bit about KVH….   • Checks, verifies, and processes invoices for payment.
  • Process all foreign currency invoices.
  • Prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
  • Audits and processes freight bills for payment.
  • Answers vendor inquiries and resolve any issues.
  • Prepare and process the Accounts Payable checks and payments through PayMode (payment system) Bank of America, Commonwealth. Also set up and process wire transfers.
  • Prints accounts payable reports and maintains accounts payable files.
  • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
  • Assists in monthly closings.
  • Assists with special projects, as necessary.
  • Process of daily incoming mail correspondence.
  • Process daily deposits (payments of checks to KVH).
  • Reconcile outstanding checks (daily)
  • Maintain and reconcile Petty Cash.
  • Program Manager for the corporate account with American Express and also the purchasing card program. Audit and process all expense reports and American Express statements.
  • Update foreign exchange rates into Baan (daily)
  • Process 1099’s at year end.
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax
  • Assist in Preparing Weekly Payable Run
  • What we are looking for… To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated, adaptable and able to work independently whilst being a key department team member with good communication skills. You will have previous exposure to a fastmoving purchase ledger environment with proven customer service and problem resolution skills along with general knowledge of accounting, general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices. Good working knowledge of MS Office; word and excel, ERP systems and databases.What we can offer you…
