As Account Manager, you will support this growth by assisting the Associate Directorwith the day to day running of client accounts. You will be responsible for overseeing the work produced by assistants and Executives in the team and be expected to start autonomously producing high quality outputs that are ready for client consumption. Youmust be proactive and inquisitive in your approach to solving everyday business and planning challenges whilst producing innovative solutions and media plans working closely with wider investment teams.If you have the skills and experience for this exciting and challenging role, we would love to hear from you.   • Day to Day Management of clients media activity
  • Manage a team of media planners, working with the Business Director to develop your junior team members.
  • Fully understand how our business makes money and how your day job impacts on this
  • Proactively seeking to understand all media and emerging media opportunities - TV, Display, OOH, Press/Mags, Radio, Sponsorship, PPC etc
  • Take day to day responsibility for your clients, running status meetings, generating results documents with insight and rationales for future media schedules
  • Present client results, marketplace updates and competitive reports
  • Understand your clients KPIs and how you can help them achieve them
  • Proactively seek opportunities to participate/contribute to new business sessions
  • Build up regular contact with clients, keeping them up-to-date on all media matters, both verbally and electronically
  • Build internal relationships with relevant departments and learn when to use
  • Liaise with and learn from your line manager regarding managing any Assistants or Executives in your group, help with their on-going training and development
  • Ensure that the Assistant and Exec take control and ownership of their roles within the planning process and management/servicing of clients
  • Actively encourage and help to facilitate both in immediate team and the wider planning group
  • Attend inspiration sessions regularly and apply learnings to your clients business
Essential Skills:
  • Knowledge of media marketplace is essential
  • Strong knowledge of desktop research & planning tools (e.g. TGI, Telmar, AdDynamix, Google Analytics) and their role in the planning process
  • A clear understanding of different media types -and their role in communications/how channels impact on each other
  • Able to analyse research and identify key insights
  • Ability to manage day to day small to medium sized clients business
  • Be highly numerate and able to analyse client performance data and results, interpret and provide future recommendations
  • Demonstrate an active interest in your clients business, marketplace, and consumers
  • An understanding of the role of comms planning in your clients marketing mix
  • Strong, concise written and oral communication
  • Able to (where necessary) confidently handle a client meeting, without line manager present, in a manner which meets a clients expectation
  • Confident presentation skills, both internally and to clients
  • Adept at managing a diverse workload, and able to prioritise
  • Be able to confidently write client presentations and thought pieces that are clear and concise
  • Begin to understand how to sell in difficult and alternative ideas as part of a client response
