Job Description

Role: Major Projects Tendering Design Engineer (33KV Design experience)Salary: £50 000 - £65 000/annumBenefits: Company car, Pension 5% and Private Medical AidLocation: Midlands OR North of the UKEmployment type: Permanent with a hybrid set upWe are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer with experience of designing up to 33KV.The client is a multi-utility Connections Business. You will support and grow business performance.Job DescriptionAs a Major Projects Design Engineer, the key Accountabilities include:

  • Undertake Primary Substation network design( 33KV), undertaking assessment of networks as appropriate
  • Produce compliant designs in accordance with customer and UIP requirements/constraints
  • Understand and apply iDNO G81s Industry design standards Understand and apply ENA ER standards where applicable Liaise with DNO/iDNO/UIPs on all aspects of design
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Business/Quality Management Systems and Safety Procedures
  • Environmental Policy and Health, Safety Policies and company procedures
  • Numerate, with an understanding of Accounting Systems and Job Costings Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
Experience RequiredWe are looking for an experienced design engineer with electrical network design experience of up to 33kV.
  • Experience/proficient in the use of AutoCAD
  • Experience of using Windebut, Amtech, Gasworks, Snap
  • Experience using MS Office software packages, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • The Individual will be expected to have or gain a CSCS or SSSTS card
  • Organisational and Time Management
  • Team working
  • Ability to work under pressure
Training shall be provided to work towards an industry recognised project management qualification.
