The starting salary for this role is£33,614 per annum for working36 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (term time + 3 weeks of holiday working).Surrey Schools SLT service is seeking an innovative and outcome-focused Specialist Speech and Language Therapist(NHS band 6 equivalent) to work within our new and exciting Post 16 service team, supporting young people with continuing communicationneeds on their preparation for adulthood journey as well as some school-based sessions.This post will be based in North East Surrey, covering Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell, or Spelthorne borough, and working with children with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) as well as those needing targeted Special Educational Needs (SEN) support. Youwill work predominantly in the post 16 team which will include a general FE college (NESCOT) but also supporting young people aged 19-25 with alternative learning packages. There will also be opportunities to work in other parts of the team either in mainstreamor a Specialist School depending on experience and clinical interest. Part time hours will also be considered based on your experience and clinical interests.The Speech and Language Therapy Service is part of Surrey County Councils local offer to support the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities of children and young people within mainstream schools and specialist provision. This Service is part of theInclusion & Additional Needs Team in Surrey Children, Schools and Families Directorate, and as such works collaboratively with other teams such as educational psychology, learning and language support, REMA and Behaviour Support.
