Senior Electrical Engineer£60,000 per annum + car allowance + benefitsRemoteThe RoleAre you autonomous, able to think on your feet and comfortable working within a small but fast-growing company environment Are you an excellent communicator with a proven track record of team building & leadership If so, we are looking for you.This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a small, fast-growth team delivering exciting projects at the forefront of the UKs net zero energy transition.You will be responsible for the safe and compliant building and delivery of our combined Solar PV/EVCP/BESS technologies including site survey, deployment, installation and O&M.Key Responsibilities:The key responsibilities of a Senior Electrical Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicating & collaborating with 3ti Sales Managers, 3ti Project Managers, 3ti Engineering Team, Clients Representatives, DNO and other key stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the ongoing technical design and development of our combined Solar/EVCP/BESS technologies.
  • Assessing commercial and industrial electrical infrastructure to scope/design/cost electrical installations.
  • Working with local DNOs as part of client site evaluations and connections.
  • Overseeing and co-ordinating the technology build process including managing materials and equipment ordering and lead times.
  • Completing and recording testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
  • Understanding and working to standards in all areas, including British (BS) and European (EN/CE).
  • Planning and implementing methodologies and procedures within your field of expertise for the benefit of the business.
  • Preparing procurement specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment and/or project staff and external consultants.
  • Conducting detailed site surveys and interpreting drawings and written word to scope and maintain project deliverables.
  • Managing O&M regimes to ensure statutory and equipment maintenance tasks are performed in line with industry best practice and current regulations.

The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a Senior Electrical Engineer are:
  • Must have completed a time-served electrical apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 10 years electrical experience within the commercial and industrial sectors.
  • The qualities and awareness required to work in a small company environment.
  • The ability and motivation to organise and prioritise work, deliver on time and exceed expectations.
  • Excellent people skills and an ability to get the best from colleagues, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • IT literate including proficiency with Office 365 and proprietary electrical design software (Amtech).
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Comfortable managing risk and uncertainty in a rapidly growing business and industry.
  • Extremely well-organised, analytical and do not settle for obvious, comfortable solutions.
  • Willing and able to challenge colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
  • Experienced in managing external contractors and other third-party stakeholders.
  • Proactive, positive, enthusiastic, flexible and focused on results.
