The starting salary for this position is £26,080 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.About UsThe Environment, Transport and Infrastructure Directorate has a vital role in helping to provide a diverse range of essential services which benefit all of Surreys residents, businesses and visitors.The Network Coordination Team within the wider Street Works Team is part of the Network and Asset Management Group. We are responsible for coordinating all the works carried out by both Utility Companies and our own Highways works, across Surreys busy roadnetwork.The team endeavours to minimise disruption and reduce traffic congestion for residents, businesses and all road users, in order to fulfil our Network Management Duty under the Traffic Management Act 2004.The Network Coordination Team consists of 1 Team Leader, 3 Senior Network Co-ordinators, 8 Network Co-ordinators, 2 Assistant Network Co-ordinators and 2 Network Co-ordination Administrators.About the RoleAs one of two Network Coordinator Administrator, your role is to administer applications for all Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (frequently road closures) from internal teams or external agencies and prepare the applications for the Traffic RegulationOrder (TRO) Team to process.In this role you will be responsible for monitoring the Streetworks email accounts and distributing to colleagues accordingly, in order to minimise disruption and reduce congestion on the public highway in accordance with the legislative requirements. (NewRoads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), as amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA), in association with the requirements of the South East Permit Scheme). You will also support the work of the Network Coordination team by inputting non electronicpermit applications onto the Streetworks Register.Part of this role will include assisting with the recovery of costs by helping ensure that all incoming permit applications are assessed within correct timelines and that TTROs are in place when required.You will be working as part of a friendly team to provide technical support and assistance and assist senior colleagues with their duties. You will carry out a range of technical administrative support or practical tasks, using knowledge of general officeroutines and procedures, together with a broad understanding of thisspecific work area.
