Job Description

Our client is an extremely reputable and growing business based in Leamington Spa that offers a diverse range of services to a dedicated customer base. The business specialises in delivering these goods and services through a global network, and in turn,gives back financially to the community through charities and schools. Due to future growth plans, the business has created a new role for a Telecoms Billing Manager for their telecoms division reporting to the Operations Manager. The Telecoms Billing Managersprimary role is to manage the telecoms bill run and oversee the operational activities relating to this. The role will also include liaising with all members of the team on billing, provisioning and potentially purchasing enquiries and to provide support tothe team on billing queries and complaints via email, telephone and ticketing systems. Other duties also include overseeing the customer database and records, project work, optimisation of services as required and purchasing and stock management where required.In return, this business will look after you with a fantastic career platform and genuine opportunity to develop and grow.   • Oversee the telecoms monthly bill run including loading supplier CDR/SDRs, clearing billing rejects, reconciling issues and liaising with the finance team for financial reports
  • Assist with appropriate workflow and management practices to ensure overall business success
  • Assist in the implementation of projects, schedules, and deadline compliance for internal and external activities
  • Deliver excellence in customer service, with a strong, proactive, will-do, solution-finding attitude
  • Interact with the development teams to escalate and resolve issues as necessary
  • Ensure that the team is supported through any challenges that may be presented
  • Work with end-users where necessary on billing queries and complaints
  • Monitor contracts with Utelize for Data Optimisation and complete activities relating to this
  • Handle billing queries
  • Create and manage tariffs and service charges
  • Liaise with Union Street on system issues, upgrades, and any development
  • Pre, post & during bill run audits including signing off each billing run
  • Monthly reporting to Management
  • SMS notification audits and monthly files
  • Work with the team to manage complex billing solutions across providers/product sets.
  • Assist in the provision of telecoms services where required
  • Assist business development teams with supplier onboarding
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
  • Maintaining Purchase and Sales Product Codes & SKUs
  • Prepare cost analyses and maintain/decreasing costs
  • Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
  • Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
Key Skills/Experience
  • Previous working experience in a Telecommunications service Provider or Telecommunications Carrier is essential.
  • Previous working experience with Telco billing systems like Abillity and a good understanding of billing processes.
  • Experience in a multi-function role, overseeing administration, sales, purchasing and customer service.
  • Sound working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • A proven problem solver who can work independently.
Additional Information
  • This is a full time, permanent position and the hours of work are Monday - Friday, 07.30am - 4.30pm with hybrid working available.
  • In addition to the basic salary, there is either a company car or car allowance available.
