Intelligent Video has an exciting opportunity available for a driven and dedicated Software Systems Engineer to join their team of developers based in Leamington Spa. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum. This role presents a unique chance to get deeply involved and help steer a growing company that has the desire to be the best in class.The ideal candidate will be well versed with a full-life cycle, standards-based approach to software engineering, such as IEC 61508. You will also have the ability to evidence software engineering excellence and have a keen desire to contribute to conceptual development.Key responsibilities of our Software Systems Engineer will include:- Project-based high integrity software engineering across the full development lifecycle- Collaborating with colleagues to establish and document software system designs- Leading on implementation of designed software in safety-related and non-safety-related platforms- Establishing and maintaining best practice in software engineering standards and procedures, and guiding colleagues in their adoption- Coordinating external contractors as required- Reporting directly to the directorsSkills and experience of our ideal Software Systems Engineer:- Recent working experience of IEC 61508, EN 5012x or related standards- C/C++ language expert with a working knowledge of the MISRA ‘C’ guidelines- A professional qualification in a safety-related engineering field- Up-to-date hands-on development skills in a POSIX compatible environment- Highly effective and self-directed with a desire to engage and consult with all stakeholders- The ability to maintain a systematic perspective whilst concentrating on detail- Innate awareness of the project environment, including commercial, technical risks, and the ability to discuss with senior colleagues- The ability to influence and lead peers in good practice- Meticulous organisation skills with strong attention to detail- The ability to define and maintain reasonable deadlines- Experience of the QNX Neutrino target and Momentics IDE (desirable)- Experience of software development for a Linux target platform (desirable)If you feel you have the skills and experience to become our Software Systems Engineer, why not click apply now We’d love to hear from you!
