Senior Occupational Health Nurse - 18 Month Temporary Contract We’re currently seeking a Senior Occupational Health Nurse on an 18-month temp contract working within a state of the art, high throughput diagnostics laboratory environment as part of the UK’s NHS Test and Trace programme.The Senior Occupational Health Nurse will play a vital role in supporting society’s return to a more normal way of life by helping to break the chains of COVID-19 transmission, you will also gain invaluable experience and exposure to some of the country’s most highly skilled individuals in the scientific community.This represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to go above and beyond to support public health, while also extending your already accomplished technical skills and positioning your career for further success and growth.The Senior Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for:Responsibilities:ü Working with the senior leadership team to develop, implement and manage occupational health programmes through the establishment of policies and procedures.ü Perform new starter health assessments to comply with statutory legislation and Corporate Occupational Health requirements.ü Maintain medical records as required by UK law and Corporate Occupational Health requirements.ü Maintain confidentiality of employee health information and occupational health notes as per statutory and Corporate requirements.ü Assess, manage and undertake health surveillance and health assessments to comply with statutory legislation and Corporate Occupational Health requirements.ü Working with the H&S team develop appropriate risk assessments such as DSE maternity or workplace ergonomics.ü Support H&S and line managers to assess level of risk and determine first aid requirements.ü Develop, conduct & manage physical and mental health promotion.ü Support Line Managers & HR with case management of sickness absence, including long term sickness and work-related injuries/illnesses.ü Generate written reports to management.ü Provide support to employees and where appropriate, refer to professional health professionalsü Liaise with GP’s, physiotherapists, or specialists as required.Qualifications:
