Senior Bioinformatician*Senior Bioinformatician required by leading Healthcare organisation based in Leamington Spa*A leading Healthcare organisation, based in Leamington Spa, currently requires a Senior Bioinformatician to join the team to set up a brand-new Genomic sequencing facility.Upon joining, the Senior Bioinformatician will lead Bioinformatics projects and be responsible for establishing best practice and protocols for high throughput genomic sequencing using automated pipelines. The Senior Bioinformatician will collaborate extensivelywith technical teams to specify tools needed to automate sequencing.In terms of skills, we are looking for Senior Bioinformaticians who have solid experience in the field of Genomics, data processing and high throughput data analysis as well as experience scripting with Python/Bash/R/Pearl. Any experience of using Bioinformaticssoftware such as FASTQ, SAMTools or Biobambam would be great although not essential.This opportunity would suit a Senior Bioinformatician who is looking for some ownership within a role and a step into the management side you will be responsible for setting up the Bioinformatics for a new Genomics service, so this makes this role very uniquelyplaced.
