Job Description

This is a key role ensuring that sales discounts are accurately paid in line with trading agreements and project quotations. The discounts must be administered in an accurately and timely manner through invoicing, rebates, supports and credit notes. Thisposition is key and oversees the accurate payment of c£30m of discounts. Encompassing management of a small team creating a dynamic and fast reacting function while maintaining a strong control environment.Initially on a 12 month contract, this role is a vital part of the wider business and will suit someone analytical, highly numerate with superb attention to detail and the desire to effect change within the team.Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration of customer trading agreements
  • Manage administration of customer’s direct trading terms, rebates and promotional activity including query resolution
  • Manage administration of customer supports (project related), including query resolution
  • Manage administration for indirect discounts paid to third parties.
  • Responsible for accounting for all types of discounts
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all claims are dealt with in line with our strict audit principles and authority rules.
  • Work closely with customers to manage all queries and information requests.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of customer terms information
  • Provide key information for margin analysis
  • Work to continuously improve our procedures, systems and tools to make the discount process as efficient as possible. Identify the root causes of issues and resolve them.
  • Be an administrator of the Enable system. This newly introduced system needs to be optimised to achieve all of the benefits.
  • Support the design of new reports for the sales team to give them a comprehensive customer view.
  • Support both internal and external audit with supply of key information and evidence.
  • Using the Enable system and SAP, perform ongoing monitoring and review of the performance of the discounts. Consider trends and flag concerns.
  • Be flexible in their duties and responsibilities and may be asked to perform other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of their job and their level of responsibility.
  • Maintain confidentiality of data and information that is sensitive to the Company, in line with Company policy and legal requirements
  • Maintain personal and professional development activities to meet the changing demands of their role/ business.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONQualifications/Training
  • 5 x GCSE or equivalent (including Maths and English) at grade C or above
  • Key skills:
  • Microsoft Office Suite Advanced (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • SAP
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Management experience – engage, motivate and lead by example
  • Analytical nature
