Job Description

Do you aspire to work in Early Years Have you got a recognised childcare qualification Are you looking to work collaboratively and creatively Are you looking to work somewhere where your contributions are valued and encouragedWe are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join the team at the RSC Nursery in Shottery, Stratford-upon-Avon, on a permanent, part-time basis, working up to 34.5 hours per week. You might be a newly qualified, level 2 practitioner, or have more experiencein early years, the most important point is your commitment and passion for providing a happy, creative and supportive environment to promote a childs development.The RSC Nursery is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is a well-equipped environment that allows children to explore and learn through play. With a messy play space, free-flow activity areas, nutritious home cooked food and a beautiful woodland garden to discover,you can be certain that the setting offers a nurturing and caring environment for children to flourish, learn and enjoy.Babies and children have a fantastic time at this nursery. The Head of Nursery and the staff have created a most welcoming and stimulating environment where children confidently express their ideas and lead their own discoveries. Ofsted 2019You will report directly to the Head of Nursery and your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Providing a safe and secure environment where each child is cared for equally.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure that children can play, learn and develop.
  • Contributing to records of childrens development and learning journeys.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships and communication.
  • Undertaking duties as required, including the preparation of snacks and cleaning of equipment.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a qualification in Education and Childcare and have experience of working with children 6 months to 5 years. We are looking for someone who is perceptive and patient and shares our vision for nurturing the individualchild in a creative and fun environment facilitating their learning and development. You should be enthusiastic, able to use your own initiative and work well both in a team and independently. The team that you will join is close knit, supportive of each otherand proud of the work they do enabling children to have a bright start as they begin their learning journeys.There are also openings for less regular hours by joining our Bank Staff Team.The RSC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
