Job Description

Prototype Transmission Build Technician Initial 6 month contract (potentially ongoing thereafter)Leamington Spa£25 PAYE per hourAdvantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a large award-winning engineering company who operate within the automotive sector and are currently seeking a Prototype Transmission Build Technician based at their site in Leamington Spa. They are seekingan experienced and competent transmission build technician to support the growing portfolio of transmission testing projects.The Prototype Transmission Build Technician will be responsible for following:

  • Strip and build of prototype transmissions following build book instructions
  • Fault finding of transmission build and manufacturing issues
  • Strip and inspection of unfamiliar transmissions without instruction
  • Have a fundamental understanding of different transmission types, functions and component
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping of facilities and workshops
The successful candidate will have a strong background in strip and build of prototype transmission systems. They will be able to follow a prototype build manual to assemble first off prototype transmissions and be familiar with accurate measurement techniquesand able to utilise these to support bespoke build characteristics (Manual or CMM).For more information please apply now.
