Job Description

Our client is a well-established, genuine success story based in Warwickshire. Due to continued growth they are now looking to appoint a Probate Administrator into the team to work within their Probate department. You will be responsible for probate matters, working closely with members of your own team and various other departments. You will make effective use of case management systems and ensure efficient use of time and resources. This really is a fantastic place to work and a foundation to build your career. The successful candidate must be organised and accurate with the ability to manage their own workload effectively.Main Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with third parties such as banks and financial institutions to obtain date of death valuations via correspondence/telephone calls as required.
  • Preparing IHT and probate forms for the Court and HMRC.
  • Liaising with internal advisors and clients by telephone and email, and face to face meetings.
  • Liaising with specific case related family members and other professional partners (solicitors and accountants).
  • Assisting with the sale and purchase of probate properties and investments once a grant is obtained.
  • Collecting monies.
  • Maintaining probate accounts.
  • Dealing with the distribution of the funds in an appropriate manner.
  • Key Skills & Experience:
  • Previous administrative experience is essential
  • A Law Degree and/or experience working in the Legal Sector is essential
  • Must have strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient with computer systems and MS packages, such as Excel, Outlook and Word
  • A high degree of written English with strong attention to detail
  • A good team player who can support others whilst managing own workload
