Great opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant to work for an expanding Group of IT companies continually making new acquisitions, so there is lots of opportunity for fast progression and for building a team around you.• Full time role working from home with some UK travel (5%). Ideal home location would be somewhere between Bromsgrove and Northampton as we have offices in these locations • Flexible working hours• Salary - around £35k-£40k pa + Pension/Vitality private healthcare• Must have own car and full UK driving licence• Reporting to Group Finance DirectorQualifications and experience required• Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA, with experience of preparing monthly Management Accounts (all GBP) • Must be able to prepare a set of accounts from scratch (Balance sheet and P&L)• Experience of dealing with stock, accrual, prepayments, intercompany recharges, accrued and deferred revenue and treatment of associated costs based on contracts and revenue recognition standards• Must have supervisory experience of sales ledger/purchase ledger/VAT/payroll knowledge to provide assistance/advice to junior staff• Experience of Xero useful but not essential• Some experience of system implementation helpful as we will move to Microsoft Dynamics later in the next 6 monthsPerson Spec• Tenacious and enthusiastic with excellent attention to detail• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised• Proactive, looking to improve/streamline/automate processes• Able to work to deadlines and prioritise accordingly• Team/group focused - to help businesses integrate into the FW Group and share resources and centralise accounting functions where possible• Ability to communicate effectively with non-financial co-worker• Generally nice hardworking person with a sense of humourResponsibilities• Preparation of month-end P&L and Balance Sheet for UK-based GBP companies• Analysis of actuals against monthly forecast and annual budget with commentary• Provide assistance to FD with Group forecast for your company• Balance sheet reconciliations and coding checks/amendments• Journaling accrued/deferred revenue and matching costs• Intercompany reconciliations and recharges• Accruals and prepayments• Analysis of gross margin - matching sales and variable costs using project codes• Commission calculations• Sense-checking VAT returns/payroll prepared by Finance Managers• Ensure system is set up to minimise coding errors• Implement better system for recording stock and purchases (minimal stock held)• Provide training to assistants to help with some of the month-end processesOther information• Please apply providing both your CV and a brief cover letter detailing your suitability for the role• The Flywheel IT Service Group consists of Electro-Comm Digital, TekNet Solutions Limited, Nexus Associates (ICT) and now Colwyn Technologies with more acquisitions in the pipel Required skills
