Fixed Term ContractWere currently seeking Warwickshire-based, Junior Occupational Health Nurses to work within a state of the art, high output diagnostics laboratory environment as part of the UKs NHS Test and Trace programme.As well as playing a vital role in supporting societys return to a more normal way of life by helping to break the chains of COVID-19 transmission, you will also gain invaluable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic laboratory environment.This represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to go above and beyond to support public health, while also extending your already accomplished technical skills and positioning your Scientific career for further success and growth.Responsibilities:As a Junior Occupational Health Nurse you will be ensuring the correct application of the Lab occupational health programmes, liasing and supporting senior management with updates where required daily.You will be performing new starter health assessments, for new starters making sure they follow the Statutory Legislation and Corporate Occupational Health requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining medical records as required by UK law and Corporate Occupational Health requirements.As a Junior Occupational Health Nurse, you will maintain confidentiality of employee health information and occupational health notes as per statutory and corporate requirements. You will assess, manage and undertake health surveillance and health assessments to comply with statutory legislation and corporate Occupational Health requirements.You will be working alongside and supporting the health and safety team, as well as the line managers to assess level of risk and determine first aid requirements and conducting/managing physical and mental health promotion for employees. If required, you will provide support to employees and where appropriate, refer to professional health professionals and liaise with GPs, physiotherapists, or specialists as required.You will support the Line Managers and the Human Resources team with case management of sickness absence, including long term sickness and work-related injuries/illnesses and generating written reports to management daily.Your experience:In order to be successful, youll need the following education, experience and skills:Education:
