Job Description

Marine Engineer (Workshop / Diesel Engines)Based in Leamington Spa £28,000 - £31,000 per annum + Training + Overtime + Company Benefits.Are you a marine/diesel engineer looking to join a well-established company in a workshop based role that offers great working conditions and job security On offer is the opportunity to join a successful boat building company who provide in-house training allowing for personal and professional growth, alongside overtime opportunities to increase your average yearly earnings. The company build a wide range of bespoke boats, working on every stage of construction. They require an engineer who can install boat engines, and test the operations before delivery. They provide training opportunities and the chance to work on specialist marine engines, and are looking for an experienced engineer to join their successful family-run team. This role would suit a Marine Engineer looking to work on both marine and engine maintenance. The Role:

  • Installing engines on narrowboats, Dutch barges and wide beam boats
  • - Maintain and install bow and stern thrusters, propellers and shafts - Fit electric motors, hydraulic steering and other mechanical equipment
  • Workshop based
  • The Candidate:
  • An experienced mechanical engineer with knowledge of hydraulic and diesel engines
  • - Marine Engineering knowledge preferred
  • Full UK Driving License
