Job Description

Experienced Digital Learning Content Developer/Designer with 2 years experience in a Digital Learning Developer/ E-Learning Developer role is needed by this leading online learning and training provider based near Leamington Spa.In the role you will to contribute to the delivery of Leadership & Management Blended learning journeys. In support of this: building/maintaining learning journeys and content parts within their learning platform and designing and developing micro digital content as standalone SCORM packages.Responsibilities:As the Digital Learning Content Developer/Designer you would be responsible for a number of key activities including:

  • Support the development/build of learning journey templates on learning platform/LMS attending to the technical delivery of all digital aspects of programmes including: setting up look & feel, creation of content pages, uploading of SCORM content, creation of quizzes and evaluation activities, setting up completion conditions, setting up of notifications and automated emails (HTML, JavaScript).
  • Design evaluation methods to assess learning impact e.g. writing question sets and designing assessment activities.
  • Contribute to designing rich and intuitive social learner experience / user interfaces for web based learning platform and mobile products - including web and mobile applications.
  • Administration of learning platform/LMS (and support of Operations Team/Learning Coordinator) including: setting up course instances, assigning/managing learners and instructors/mentors, setup of events and webinars, providing technical support, reporting learner data.
  • Quality assurance - ensure robust testing of learning journeys and digital content, troubleshoot and resolve issues. Support Operations Team/Learning Coordinator in solving learner problems/queries.
  • Ensure quality and functionality of own and colleagues developed content through structured and detailed quality assurance and testing.
  • Assist with design and specification of programmes by fielding customer technical queries, contributing to review sessions and managing customer expectations.
  • Developing bespoke interactive and engaging micro digital solutions and be able to create learning content from end to end autonomously using industry leading desktop applications, particularly Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), to ensure functionality and the successful delivery of defined learning design of blended programmes.
  • Create storyboards and scripts that clearly outline learning design, interactive experiences, and key user engagement concepts, including written content and visual design, to define learning experiences that will deliver learning objectives appropriately to target populations.
  • Support the development of organisational digital learning and blended learning capability, through the research and application of new theories, tools and technologies, the development of shared processes, and support and training of colleagues.
  • Essential Knowledge & Experience:
  • 2 years experience in a Digital Learning Developer/ E-Learning Developer role
  • Experience of designing multi-platform digital solutions including mobile
  • Experience of graphic design applications to develop visually appealing and engaging experiences (Adobe creative suite)
  • Working knowledge of eLearning technology and SCORM authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise with the ability to grasp new software
  • Knowledge of coding and use of it to create engaging responsive content and experiences, e.g. using: HTML5, JavaScript and CSS
  • Accomplished user of: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) to produce custom content and graphics
  • Working knowledge of web authoring and web development software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office software packages - particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail, meticulous in checking own work to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Adaptable, flexible, and motivated to drive results in a fast-paced environment where change is a constant
