However, we are very much a global organisation.Operating in 25 countries and with a number of offices located globally, we are able to connect with customers and partners from all over the world.We are part of the AIM listed Oxford Metrics Group of companies who provide vision technology across the life science, entertainment, defence and engineering sectors.The Role:The Cloud Infrastructure Managerroleis responsible for the support and continuousdevelopmentofthe Alloy infrastructure, our flagship product running on a cloud-based ecosystem.Working within theInfrastructureTeam, the roleis thus not only aboutday to day managementbut alsoto plan, develop and introduce changes in order to support future development ofourservices.Applicants will need to have a solid experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) includingresourceprovisioning and network management.Moreover, our current solutions are reliant on YAML based DevOps pipelines and Docker/Kubernetes stack. Experiencein those is thus desirable.You will be working closely with our internal support and development teams basedinLeamington Spa to ensure our systems are available to customers.Alloy is a next generation connected asset management solution. The infrastructure to support will empower cities to manage their streetlighting networks (including new IoT devices), roads, waste collections,playgrounds, parks and an infinite host of otherpossibilities. Since the software is built to be flexible and generic.Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitoring cloud environments ensuringsystem availability and performance. Troubleshooting issues as they arise and automating resolutions where possible
• Ongoing development of the current infrastructure with a high degree of autonomy in making decisions for the existing and new areas of our ecosystem
• Managingbackup and disaster recovery processesand tasks
• Configuration,administration,installationand upgradingofcloud infrastructure, firewalls, databases, malware protection software, products, and services.
• Strong communication skills with modern cloud technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
• Documentationofprocesseswhere requiredand technical support for bothCloud service and server OSissues
• Problem managementand implementation ofautomationwhere possible
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement remedies
• Managing scaling for MongoDB databases Clusters and credits (Atlas

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in cloud infrastructureincluding:
• EC2Beanstalk
• Route 53
• ElastiCache
• S3
• CloudFront
• Proven experience with working with monitoring applications such as:
• NewRelic
• Dynatrace
• Datadog
• Experience working in a client-facing environment.
• Excellentcommunication skillsinboth verbal and written formats.
• Ability toproduce detailed system documentation and guides for other teams.
• Solid understanding of fundamental server administration and networking technologies

Desirable Skills:

• Penetration and load testing of environments to ensure suitability from a security and usability perspectiveExperience / knowledge of ITIL methodology and values.
• Exposure to tracking, automation and collaboration toolssuch asJiraandGit.
• Management ofStatusPage(Atlassian) to reflect up/downtime and error reporting to customers.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such asPowerShell,JavaScriptandPython.
• Experience / Knowledge ofapplication deployment includingAzure DevOps.
• Docker and Kubernetes technology to manage our existing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) areas of the ecosystem.
