Job Description

The Engineering Practice is seeking an experience CAD/BIM Technician to join their dynamic team in Leamington Spa.CAD/BIM TechnicianLeamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV32 5PEFull-time, Permanent£25,000-£40,000 depending on experienceThe Engineering Practice is an established Building Services Design Consultancy based in Leamington Spa. We provide professional and technical advice to the property and construction industry in all aspects of mechanical and electrical construction services.We are looking for an experienced CAD/BIM Technician. You will be joining a dynamic team in a friendly working environment with good career development prospects and a competitive salary depending on experience.There is the opportunity for the right candidate to run the CAD/BIM departmentAs a CAD/BIM Technician, you will be:

  • Producing co-ordinated 3D Models for Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health and assisting in the development of Revit BIM Models
  • Assisting in BIM co-ordination meetings
  • Ensuring timely delivery and that deadlines are met
  • Creating visuals from models for team use or to highlight issues
  • Creating mechanical and electrical layout 2D CAD drawings from sketch
  • Planning drawings and implementation of amendments to all phases of drawings
  • Liaising with the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and Associates
  • Working with the Office Manager on IT aspects related to BIM & CAD
  • Interrogating drawing files from external sources to produce x references
  • Producing sketches and schematics to scale from the engineers mark ups
  • Drawing and plotting to scale using viewports
  • Assisting the engineers in developing 3D thermal modelling packages
About the roleThe ideal CAD/BIM Technician will:
  • Be enthusiastic and highly motivated.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Have working knowledge of the standard industry software, such as AutoCAD & Revit.
