ROLE: Genomics - Associate Principal ScientistCONTRACT LENGTH: 18-month contractLOCATION: Leamington spaSALARY: 26.42 per hour PAYECpl Life Sciences are recruiting for a large Pharmaceutical/ Healthcare company that is expanding quickly and requiring Genomics Associate Principal Scientist to support with the patient testing process.This is an exciting opportunity that can offer further progression and the opportunity to develop your career within a laboratory/ Scientist position.Key responsibilities.Responsible for a large team (up to 50) across multiple laboratories ensuring the correct scientific procedures are followed.Responsible for Health and Safety of the teamEnd to end processes is carried out correctly and efficiently, achieving key targets.Act as an official escalation point for any scientific issues.Maintaining the laboratories to the correct quality standards, ensuring all risks are identified and resolved.Ensure appropriate team building and engagement occurs, including probation and appraisal processes.Training staff for their relevant roles.Manage relationships with stake holders and senior management, discussing and processing resolutions to a wide variety of complex issues.Experience/ Qualifications.Over 5 years of experience in molecular biology assays.Must have Experience in Next Generation sequencing.Degree in Biomedical Science or relevant qualificationExtensive experience in a Bioscience laboratory, including handling human biological samples.Experience maintaining/improving documentation within the laboratory accreditation specifications in QMS.Experience creating Health and safety protocols.Managing experience within a large team.Experience of working with LIMSFor more information please contact
