Marine Society and Sea Cadets are seeking to appoint a Volunteer & Business Support Coordinator. You will join us on a permanent basis based in London (homebased negotiable). In return you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 gross per annum.Marine Society and Sea Cadets(MSSC) is a leading maritime charity in lifelong learning and personal development and is the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation engaging some 15,000 young people over 400 Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK. The SCC offers a wide range of youth opportunities with the same enduring objective – to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun.We are seeking a Volunteer & Business Support Coordinator who will play a key role in the coordination of effective business practices within and across Sea Cadet Units and the support for Unit Trustees.Key areas you will focus on as ourVolunteer & Business Support Coordinator include:- Property grants and loans.- Unit and MSSC Insurance.- Accurate recording and reporting of the opening and closing of Sea Cadet Units and Sections.- Support for effective governance arrangements by and within Sea Cadet Units.Experience and skills you’ll need as our Volunteer & Business Support Coordinator will include:- Educated to A level or demonstrable equivalent work experience- An understanding of the voluntary and community sector- Experience of supporting business processes within a charitable organisation- Knowledge and understanding of governance issues within the third sector- Experience of developing processes, procedures and support guides targeted at internal and external customers- Experience of delivering first class customer service- Experience of supporting a committee, board or other formal meeting.In return as ourVolunteer & Business Support Coordinator you will receive:- Pension Scheme- Life Insurance- Private Medical Insurance- Employee Assistance Programme- season ticket loans- Eye CareSuccessful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.If you would like to join the team as our Volunteer & Business Support Coordinator then please click ‘apply’ today – don’t miss out, we’d love to hear from you!
