Job Description

Class Teacher

  • Location: Lambeth
  • Salary: Inner London Main Pay Scale
  • Job Type: Full-time
We are looking for an effective and reflective Class Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing lessons that cater to individual needs, maintaining good order and discipline, and ensuring the healthand safety of all students. Day to Day of the Role:
  • Maintain good order and discipline among students, safeguarding their health and safety.
  • Adhere to the school’s Equal Opportunity Policy, ensuring all children have full access to maximise achievement.
  • Provide professional leadership within your curriculum area, acting as a role model.
  • Monitor teaching and learning to improve education quality and raise standards.
  • Coordinate assessment, record keeping, and report on student attainment and progress.
  • Prepare for and lead staff meetings and work with the Senior Management Team to meet the needs of all children.
  • Manage your budget effectively and organise non-teaching staff.
  • Establish a partnership with parents to involve them in their child’s learning.
  • Create a stimulating environment where students can reach their full potential.
  • Write annual reports on the students assigned to you and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in classroom teaching.
  • Ability to plan and prepare lessons with regard to individual needs.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to act as a role model.
  • Experience in coordinating assessment and record keeping.
  • Ability to manage a budget and organise non-teaching staff.
  • Excellent communication skills to establish partnerships with parents.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
