ExpeditorBilston, West Midlands£35,000 - £40,000We are currently seeking an Expeditor to join a leading manufacturer of bespoke fasteners. The Expeditor will be directly responsible foroverseeing the purchasing and receipt of subcontracted services such as plating, heat treatment, testing, and machining. Responsibilities:

• Monitor and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of services from sub-contractors
• Build close relationships with Operations Manager, Production Planning Team and Dispatch/Logistics team.
• Coordinate with suppliers to communicate timelines and requirements for each order
• Track and report on the status of all orders in progress
• Resolve any issues or delays in the delivery of services
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure accurate ordering and forecasting
• Coordinate with the production team to schedule services in alignment with production needs
• Sourcing and negotiating contracts with external suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of services, and maintaining quality standards
• Continuously improve and streamline the expediting process to increase efficiency

Qualifications:

• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials preferred
