Job Description

** Newly created role ** Finance Controller ** Specialist family-run and self-sufficient business **Fantastic opportunity for a senior finance professional to join a growing and ambitious business.The Finance Controller is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategy within the facility. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will also work as a trusted colleague of the CEO and be an integral part of the seniorleadership team.Driven by the CEO, there is a genuine family-oriented culture that prioritises their people, making staff and prospective candidates feel valued. This culture of pride in their accomplishments is reflected in the retention of their employees.You will play a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost control and reporting to support the companys financial success. Additionally, this role will collaborate with various departments to drive financial efficiencies and contributeto the overall success of the operation.Key Responsibilities:

This is a broad role covering all aspects of financial management and reporting as well as budget and financial forecast preparation
Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, reporting
Lead, motivate, manage and mentor a small team including responsibility for the smooth running of the sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll functions
Work closely with other departments such as sales, procurement and operations.

What were looking for:

Qualified accountant preferred, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
Proven experience in leading a finance department
A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills to help drive data-led decision making in the business
Willingness to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve organisational goals.
