Job Description

As a Barclays Internal Auditor Assistant Vice President - Operational Resilience, you will perform audit assurance related to Operational Resilience and Physical Security and you will provide technical insight and a detailed understanding of risks on thesetopics. This is a key role to assist BIA leaders in managing relationships with Group Resilience staff accountable for these topics. The role holder will be a member of the Group Technology, Security & Resilience (TSR) Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) team. Hybrid WorkingWe are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager. What will you be doing Working closely and helping the Directors and Head of Audit TSR to design an appropriate coverage strategy and audit plan taking into consideration the current and expected business Delivering global Operational Resilience and Physical Security audits, including defining audit strategy with the help of BIA TSR team Ensuring that relevant risks and controls have been identified and appropriately assessed, whilst working to ensure that audits, scope, budget, and timetable are planned Engaging closely with key business stakeholders throughout the execution of audits Reviewing and completing high-quality documentation of audit scoping, risk & control identification, control evaluation and observations in BIA audit toolkit Updating the Audit Owner, Portfolio Head, and audit team with progress and observations Performing issues validation test procedures and providing complete, accurate and timely information for BIA reporting Promoting a culture of efficiency through the use Agile and Automated Auditing techniques What were looking for: Relevant professional audit qualifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC) or BCI qualification, and Financial services industry knowledge Proven experience in delivering high quality risk-based auditing or risk /control activities Good knowledge of Operational Resilience frameworks including planning for the recovery of important business services, mapping of the processes and resources Knowledge of tools and techniques for managing and testing Resilience including key dependencies such as IT Disaster Recovery, Information, People and Suppliers Skills that will help you in the role: Broad audit experience covering Resilience, Physical Security Risks and Technology Practical knowledge of relevant regulatory environment especially related to Operational Resilience Proven track record of high performance in previous roles and excellent oral and written communication skills Desire to achieve or having obtained the expertise to evaluate resilience methodologies in response to changing risk profiles and regulatory expectations Where will you be workingYou will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.
