This is an interesting and varied hands-on role with specialist manufacturer of bespoke and prestige motorhomes is based at Knottingley near Leeds / Wakefield, West Yorkshire. They provide revolutionary designs and their award-winning motorhomes are positioned at the premium end of the leisure vehicle market. It is a family run business with a small friendly team.They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stores Supervisor who will “own” the Stores Department and put their stamp/influence on it. You will be responsible for providing effective management of the Stores Department, including all goods in and out. Specifically, you will be required to:- Support the FD in all matters relating to the management of stock and work in progress.- Maintain an efficient and effective stock management system (Sage MRP system).- Pick stock for the production team ensuring items are available in line with the production schedule.- Manage ordering, goods-in, returns, obtaining credits etc.- Liaise with suppliers and maintain good working relationships.- Negotiate supplier pricing (in conjunction with the FD) and resolve any queries/discrepancies.- Carry out a monthly stock-take.- Review all aspects of Stores on an ongoing basis to continually improve stock management/control.- Management and development of the Stores Apprentice.To be successful in this role you will need to be a proactive individual with a detail mindset, a person who takes pride in creating a tidy & efficient working environment, a flexible attitude and pleasant disposition.
