Job Description

Operating strategically positioned manufacturing plants and efficient national distribution, their dedication to customer satisfaction and ongoing product developmentestablishes them as an industry trailblazer.The roleAs a Design Draughtsperson at their Knottingley site. Reporting to the Group Production Director, youll play a crucial role in their Engineering Design team. Ideal candidates, holding an HNC or equivalent with 2+ years experience, will excel in 3D/2D Autocad, producing detailed engineering drawings, andcontributing to innovative automated plant designs.Design Draughtsperson will take responsibility for:

Generate 3D and 2D CAD drawings for existing equipment.
Provide engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing and assembly.
Apply principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems, considering all associated components.
Develop conceptual designs for automated production plant equipment.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design management, and project management, to ensure alignment with project goals.

What you needIt is ESSENTIAL for the successful Design Draughtsperson to have the following:

Previous experience with AutoCAD.
Proficiency in working with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards.
2+ Mechanical Design Engineer in an Engineering/Manufacturing setting.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

Experience in a wide variety of Conveyor, Process Equipment or Mechanical handling projects.

What is on offerSalary ranges from £35,000 to £45,000, with a 40-hour workweek and annual leave increasing to 27 days (years of service).
