Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Plant Accountant to join a business on the outskirts of Knottingley. The role will focus on preparing and maintaining accurate and up to date financial data that is needed for the smooth running of both the plant and also ensuring regulatory and audit compliance requirements are met.Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:-Manage the financial PO reporting, accruals, and reconciliations for the purchasing processPrepare and process month end journalsBalance sheet reconciliationsMonth end variance analysis and other month end reportsReviewing the VAT returnForeign currency transactionsReviewing Inventory transaction analysis and processesStock take and a close collaboration with stores staff including reconciliationsMaintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation maintenanceAll month end duties up to and including the first draft of the variance analysisMonth end review with Financial Controller, Plant Manager and FP&A Manager.Providing supervisory support, guidance and coaching to the Accounts Assistant, including goal settingProviding support to the wider finance teamRequirementsFully qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA / ACCA Strong business partnering skillsExcellent IT skillsFlexibility to travel between the different sitesOur client is offering hybrid working - 3 days in the office / 2 days at home.For further details please contact Emma Dugdale or Lucy Regan.To apply please send your CV, quoting our reference and specifying which website you saw this position advertised on.
