This Planning Manager position is a fantastic opportunity to join an established company with 18 months worth of orders! Ive personally never come across such a strong forecast in a business! Youll have scope to introduce agile operational KPIs that meet customer targets and implement new ways of working and supply chain principles with planning tools for new production lines that are due to be introduced from their CAPEX investment. The Production Planning Manager will also work cross functionally with Sales, Finance, Production, Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing and Logistics teams to excel customers expectations and achieve further orders!This is a site based role Monday to Friday, BUT the business is a mature, commercial focused operation so has the flexibility to meet individual needs as long as YOUR service meets the outputs. Professionally!And Precise!The Production Planning Manager will oversee and support the production planning process optimizing OTIF performance and help ensure picking, production and dispatch targets are met. Key roles and objectives:* Support and engage with all area that need Production Planning activities* Drive the development of processes and people* Provide day to day practical help/input in the scheduling and planning tasks* Ensure continuity for critical planning duties and provide 1st line support when required * Provide practical/technical support for the planning process and team* Take ownership of delivering KPIS that you will build* Create and report on operational KPIs to improve your service* Work with Commercial teams to understand and drive timely and accurate On time delivery to customer, order progress, production accuracy (plan v actual) and capacity output* Provide experience-based coaching, training and development opportunities for the Production Planners* Have oversight of daily scheduling activities and take the lead in decision making on changes affecting lead times, customer requirements and service delivery* Identify potential delays and manage adjustments on schedules to meet deadlines and commitmentsPersonal Characteristics* Positive attitude and a proactive mindset* Desire to drive improvement through change and challenge inefficiency* Methodical and able to co-ordinate work* The ability to communicate at all levels throughout the business, with all internal and external customers * Excellent organizational and prioritising skills* Meticulous with an eye for detail* Effective decision-making* Flexible in approach and able to quickly learn & adapt to changing circumstances* Active problem solver* Produces high quality work and appreciates the value of right first time* Takes ownership of issues and see them through to resolutionExperience:* Strong planning experience in multi-line/complex production environment is essential* Service focused supply chain experience in production planning* Strong knowledge of MRP and other Planning Management techniques* Knowledge & understanding of day to day planning/production activities & concepts manufacturing principlesSalary:* £45,000 - £50,000* Pension* HolidayWest Yorkshire, Castleford, Normanton, Wakefield, Selby, East Riding, Goole, Doncaster, Leeds, Eggborough, Featherstone, Garforth, Leeds, Sherburn in Elmet, Planning ManagerElevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
