Douglas Scott have a new opportunity for a Junior Litigation Solicitor in Leeds. Our client is an International business with a fantastic reputation in the market.Youll join an experienced and well established Legal team which specialises in all Litigation work across the various Group business. Largely this will be advisory focussed and encompass UK and International jurisdictions. You will be afforded excellent training, support and tuition from experienced in-house Solicitors.Applications are invited from Junior Litigation Solicitors (1-3 PQE) who have experienced both a contentious and non-contentious caseload in their career to date. Ideally, a good grounding in contentious work will serve the successful candidate well, including exposure to Tribunal matters. Candidates form a Healthcare background will be of interest. but wider advocacy experience and regulatory enforcement is beneficial.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Litigation Solicitor to make the move in-house. On a day-to-day basis the successful candidate will advise on disputes arising from the many business units within the Group including more straightforward EL/PL claims, provide advice on litigation and regulatory matters, conduct pre-lit and prepare documentation in respect of hearings related to Healthcare Insurance Law. Additionally, this role offers wide ranging in-house work related to the updating of policies and procedures, commercial contract drafting, resolving of complex technical queries and general Risk Management.The team has an excellent track record of developing their people in areas beyond the day-to-day Litigation work.
