Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) ManagerLiverpool, United Kingdom£40,000 - £45,000 per annum + benefitsComplex single site apart of a large diverse manufacturing groupVery proud to represent this particular industrial, high risk manufacturing company, to support them in their search for a EHS Specialist to join one of their sites in Liverpool.Do you want to motivate, inspire and engage others and proactively manage EHSDo you want to drive and improve key EHS goals and raise the bar on site Do you want to get your teeth stuck into major projects Then this could be the next position for you!Main Responsibilities :-Proactively manage EHS, focusing on leading indicators and push the site towards interdependency and drive positive behavioural change across the siteWork in close co-operation with the UK EHS Management, execute the action plan for EHS improvement, providing information to internal and external stakeholdersInspire and drive site towards zero harmImplement and maintain all UK legal and company policies related to EHS and promote a culture of good EHS practiceOn a day to day basis, provide leadership and supervision for common EHS issues and concernsIdentify trends, isolate root causes and support processes to ensure follow up actions are taken in a timely mannerFind the root causes for accident / incident, facilitate investigationsSupport the planning, preparation and execution of scheduled plant maintenance shutdowns and projectsCompile information and data from the EHS systems and ensure this is accurate and relevantCreate and update training materials and deliver these for staff inductions and contractor staffDesign and lead proactive safety campaigns and lead safety days, ensuring an engaged and educated workforceMaintain an effective EHS management and SharePoint systemTo challenge others constructively and collaborate across departmentsMentor , train and coach at all levels of the businessPresent to key group stakeholders both internal and externalQualifications and Experience :-NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)Industrial manufacturing and production background, ideally in the Food/ Chemicals/ Heavy Manufacturing/ Engineering / Power Generation/ Biomass sectorsIdeal Personality Traits :-Lead with gravitasPositive, proactive and pragmaticVisible across site and hands onCollaborative with strong communication skillsEngaging and able to influence at all levelsInterested Apply now for immediate consideration: Alternatively, if you know of anyone who may be interested in this opportunity, please forward on our details.
