A vacancy has arisen within our Fabrications and Press Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Press Setter / Operator.We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation. Hourly Rate based on experience.Press Setter / Operator responsibilities include:- Tool setting which includes the setting of tool geometries- Proficient use of hand press and hydraulic press- Setting and changing of fixtures, clamping fixtures and clamps as and when required- Loading and unloading of fixtures using lifting equipment- Capable of producing acceptable first offs to drawing specification using verniers, micrometers, gauges etc- Deburring to include linishing, scurfing and proficient use of air and hand tools- Proficient use of wash and degreasing plant- Proficient use of barreling- Jigs and fixtures to be visually inspected by the operator before and after use, with any problems found reported to the engineering/quality department- Work and adhere to HSE guidelines on site- To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility including housekeeping to 5s StandardPress Setter / Operator requirements:- 2 years’ experience in the Aerospace Industry/ Engineering/ Manufacturing/ a similar role is desirable- Must become familiar with quality & manufacturing standards and maintain and achieve specified targets and objectives in line with business requirements- Required to produce acceptable first offs "right first time"- Train and coach fellow colleagues to suit the business requirements- Positive, ‘can do’ attitude- Takes full ownership of their area of responsibility- Disciplined and self-motivated- Has a strong teamwork and supportive mentality- An understanding and alignment to our Bromford Values; Respect, Integrity, Safety and Excellence.About Bromford Industries Limited:Bromford Industries is a privately-owned enterprise trading on a global basis, supplying precision machined components, fabrications and assemblies to leading OEM’s in the aerospace, defence, marine, power generation and nuclear markets, demonstrating an impressive health and safety culture.Salary: CompetitiveJob Type: Full Time, PermanentHours: 39 per weekShift Pattern: Day Shift working Monday to Thursday 07.30 – 16.30 and 07.30 – 12.30 on Fridays, with designated breaksLocation: Bromford Technologies Alcester, B49 6EHYou may have experience of the following: Press Setter, Press Operator, Machine Operator, Machine Minder, Skilled Operator, Semi-Skilled Operator, Manufacturing, Engineering, Engineer, etc.Ref: 95952
