Job Description

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Buyer to join a Public Sector organisation in Hull. The permanent role will offer several benefits and includes hybrid working.The Role:

  • Assist the Procurement Manager in planning & implementing strategic procurement strategies across the full business
  • Manage competitive procurement through both OJEU and framework routes. To prepare & publish OJEU Contract Notices and Contract Awards
  • Provide support & commercial advice and assist in leading the Procurement process for high value, high risk Capital Works schemes
  • Identify new suppliers, agree terms, and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discounts and volume rebates
  • maximise income for the company by implementation of appropriate negotiation skills and practice
The Person:
  • Strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, ideally with PCR2015 experience OR NEC Contract experience
  • Proactive and seeking the next step in procurement
