Job Description

Employer description:Creative Youth Network enables young people, no matter what their background or circumstances, to reach their own potential.All of our young people are experiencing barriers that are preventing them from flourishing. Many of our young people are marginalised, unemployed, not in education, suffer poor mental health, are in care (or are care leavers), are asylum seekers, refugees,disabled, from low-income households or are an ethnic minority.We work to help young people remove or overcome the barriers young people face by:

  • Building trusting relationships with young people that enable us to address their individual needs
  • Advocating for young people to influence policy and get young voices heard
  • Providing a wide range of programmes and activities to help young people reach their potential
Overview:We now have a truly exciting opportunity for a passionate, motivated and driven individual to join our dynamic and friendly team as Digital Marketing Executives whilst undertaking a Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship.Main role / Responsibilities:[will include but not be limited to]:Website:
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the Creative Youth Network website
  • Maintain the Creative Youth Network media library by filing and tagging digital content
  • Forward enquiries, course sign-ups and ticket sales to staff members
  • Monitor SEO and web reporting
Social media:
  • Assist in scheduling posts via Hootsuite
  • Capture photo and video content in youth sessions, events and activities
  • Share engaging content on social media and encourage online conversation with staff, followers and potential partners
Newsletters:
  • Assist in creating a monthly newsletter via Mailchimp (training provided)
  • Maintain and oversee newsletter subscriptions
Events:
  • Support staff in branding and social media aspects of events
  • Assist in organising internal events and give support with external events
  • Meeting event participants and giving information about upcoming opportunities
  • Promoting Creative Youth Network at events in Bristol and relevant areas
  • Assist with designing and printing leaflets to promote Creative Youth Network events
Public relations and PR:
  • Assist with researching and drafting press releases and support their sell in
General:
  • Assist staff to ensure the Creative Youth Network brand is used correctly both internally and externally
  • Support with administration for the communications and fundraising team
  • Maintain case study library
  • Maintain communications and marketing schedules.
What we are looking for:Desirable skills:
  • Dedicated / Working towards a Marketing or similar qualification
  • Experience with using design software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign or Affinity)
  • Experience of using content management systems
  • Experience in copywriting
  • Experience in working with young audiences
Personal qualities:
  • An interest in working in a communications environment
  • An excellent standard of communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • A good understanding and interest in social media platforms
  • Excellent IT skills, including using MS Office and database packages
  • Understanding of basic admin systems and procedures
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and use own initiative
  • Well organised with good time management
  • Responsible, helpful and friendly and flexible
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
Entry requirements:The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • The learner must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.Find out more here: https://Qualifications/UKQRS/Default.aspxWorking week:40 hours a week.Salary:Dependant on age:Under 18 = £10,005 per annum,18 - 20 = £14,207, per annum,21-22 = £19,095 per annum,23+ = £19,760 per annum.Future prospects:92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programmes offer on-going development tracks.Important Information:QAs apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
