TECHNICAL SERVICES ENGINEERWe are currently seeking a talented Technical Services Engineer to join our team. As a global aerospace, defense, and security company, we work with government and commercial customers to deliver innovative solutions. This role holds a key responsibilityin facilitating the timely, budget-conscious, and scope-compliant delivery of program activities.Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage technical Helpdesk requests while maintaining direct communication with customers.
• Offer expert technical advice and guidance pertaining to the installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of the companys technical products, programs, and systems.
• Provide specialized expertise for resolving technical issues, troubleshooting product-related challenges, and adapting products to align with customer requirements.
• Oversee the management and maintenance of System Reference Sets, encompassing both hardware and software components.
• Contribute to the production of comprehensive technical documentation.
• Actively participate in customer meetings to present contract metrics.
• Execute on-site tasks such as installation, commissioning, and HATs (Hardware Acceptance Tests) and SATs (Software Acceptance Tests).
• Support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities, including the development of technical solutions to address obsolescence issues.
• Develop and deliver end-user training sessions.
• Collaborate in the preparation and execution of design reviews.
• Thoroughly review and challenge technical documentation received from customers and suppliers.
• Participate in reviews with the customer and key suppliers to ensure alignment.
• Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in strict accordance with Company Standards of Conduct and established contractual processes.
• Maintain awareness of and adhere to Company Standards of Conduct, as well as all relevant statutory requirements.
• Fulfill any other reasonable management requests as needed.

Required:

• Possess a degree qualification in a relevant engineering or technical field (e.g., electrical engineering or similar).
• Demonstrate proficiency in engaging with both internal and external customers, displaying professionalism whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
• Showcase a track record of successfully resolving technical challenges within complex systems.
• Exhibit the ability to employ logical and creative thinking to address technical problems and make well-informed decisions.
• Embrace a team-oriented approach, fostering the creation, development, and maintenance of productive working relationships.
• Display clear and adaptable written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office products.

Desirable/Acquirable:

• Acquire knowledge of marine electronic equipment and/or familiarity with the marine environment.
• Gain an understanding of marine navigation-specific standards (e.g., IEC 60945, 61162, 61174).
• Familiarize oneself with military environmental standards (e.g., DEF STAN 00-35, 59-411).
• Develop knowledge and experience related to safety-critical systems (SIL 2 / 3).
• Gain experience in conducting EMC/Vibration/Shock qualification testing with external test houses.
• Consider pursuing INCOSE Associate/Chartered Systems Engineering Professional certification.

Other Requirements:

• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within the UK may be necessary to attend team and customer meetings, training activities, and to provide platform installation and support.
• Clearance Requirements: The post-holder must obtain and maintain UK Government clearances as necessary.
