Job Description

Technical Product Owner - Kingston/ hybrid - £70,000 plus package - ASAPMy client, a global organisation is currently on the hunt for a Technical Product Owner to come and join them on a permanent basis.As the Technical Product Owner (TPO) you will collaborate with Product Management, Delivery Management and Engineering, organising and prioritising team backlogs with work spread across feature, function, non- functional (NFR), BAU, Technical Debt, spikes,and ceremonies. The TPO will typically own a quarterly roadmap after completion of the PI planning phase, supporting the team(s), maintaining acceptance criteria on items into the roadmap, ensuring focus on current and future iterations and preparing backlogsfor subsequent iterations.Responsibilities:

  • Analyse the end-to-end requirement, understanding the effect of any requested change from a business and technical viewpoint
  • To take over ownership of the backlog post the PI planning sessions ensuring the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared stories to work on
  • Prepare and facilitate pre-sprint activities such as backlog grooming and 3-amigo sessions
  • Ensures Service Desk items are analysed and prioritised into a backlog for the IT teams to deliver within the allocated team capacity
  • Ensures technical debt and NFRs are captured, refined, and prioritised across all sprints
  • Captures additional BAU, Ceremony, and Spike activities, and works with Delivery Management to incorporate into team backlogs, within the boundaries of available capacity
  • Support preparation and delivery of PI demos to stakeholder group, via Inspect & Adapt workshops
  • Defines metrics to measure the success and performance of prioritised work, ensuring any further BAU iterations can be proposed and prioritised accordingly within the
Experience required:
  • 3+ years of proven experience working in Agile Delivery, either as a Business Analysis or Technical Product Owner within a Scaled Agile Framework
  • Experience of leading analysis in B2C retail ecommerce
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Understanding of business analysis principles, processes and techniques
  • Ability to think analytically, solve problems to complex business processes, and document results
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner across functional and technical departments
  • Ability to develop and prepare process models, functional specifications, and technical requirements
  • The ability to perform industry research to clarify, define, or satisfy technology or business process issues
