Job Description

The Creative Industries School at Kingston College are now seeking a Sessional Lecturer in Media.The Sessional Lecturer - Media is expected to deliver exciting and industry relevant skills and knowledge to students on our popular practical Level 3 vocational courses. A dynamic, pro-active and highly organised individual, you will hold a degree or equivalentprofessional qualification in a relevant subject and have a secure technical understanding of practical film production, camera and lighting and video editing, as well as good knowledge and ability to teach fictional and factual narrative storytelling withindifferent formats and genres. Previous teaching experience is essential, preferably within the FE sector.This role is initially needed to take over existing teaching in-year (2023-2024), which is currently 4 hours every Monday (12:00 until 16:30). It is anticipated that more teaching hours will be needed in the future with the expected growth of media provisionat the College.Closing date for the return of completed applications is 31st January 2024The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 40 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health.
