Job Description

The current Counselling programmes at Kingston College sit within the Wellbeing section and provision includes a BA (Hons) Integrative Relational Counselling degree, a Mental Health degree and study programme and part time adult Level 2 and Level 3 introductorycourses, as well as a Level 4 Diploma. Our introductory courses are currently awarded by NCFE (Level 3) and CPCAB (Level 2). Our counselling degree programme has gold standard accreditation from BACP and is validated by Middlesex University.We’re now seeking a Sessional Lecturer to primarily teach on the Level 4 adult part time day (Tuesdays and Thursdays) courses but could include some work on other Counselling programmes. You will produce schemes of work, monitor their delivery, superviseassessment, provide internal verification and if necessary, liaise with external verifiers/moderators.You’ll be a professionally registered and accredited Psychotherapist and/or Counsellor with proven post qualification experience. You’ll have previous experience as a teacher of Counselling and be able to assess students’ work / practitioner skills. A creative,resourceful, and effective educator, you’ll be open to new ideas and innovations and work collaboratively as part of a team. You’ll have experience of providing supervision to groups or individuals in a counselling or life coaching setting and demonstratecommitment to the ethics of counselling and teaching.Closing date for the return of completed applications is 7th March 2024.
