Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the worlds most successful, purpose-led businesses, our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil and Magnum, as an Internal Communications Assistant Manager basedat their prestigious office in Kingston-upon-Thames (will involve a mix of working from home and working from the office).This is a full-time temporary role to last for 12 months, working a 36.25-hour week. Depending on experience, this role is paying up to £44,000 per annum, pro rata.You will deliver a busy and fast-paced internal communications and employee engagement agenda for employees who work in the UK, whether in global or local roles, supporting the Heads of Country, and sharing UK news and policies across a range of internalchannels.As well as supporting with national communications, you will lead on communications for the UK & Ireland business based in Kingston and Dublin, activating internal campaigns and events.Leading on planning, prioritising, and curating our internal communications news drumbeat which helps to embed our Compass Organisation, strategy, culture, and values and grows employee advocacy.Key Accountabilities· Drive employee engagement through creative internal communications, in both written and video form, and experiment with new formats· Own and manage ULs internal channels, overseeing the editorial calendar and review process to create high-quality and engaging content for a range of channels including newsletters, articles, and video content· Support with writing, formatting, and issuing of leadership notes and all employee emails· Support delivery of town halls, and larger employee events, including logistics and content creation· Lead on analytics tracking of our internal channels, ensuring an always-on approach to using data and insights to shape our internal communications strategy and focus· Work closely with the brand teams and functions to support them in communicating and landing their agendas internally· Maintain good relationship with all site comms leads across the UK & Ireland, including our factory and R&D hubs, sharing campaign toolkits and assets to ensure nationwide amplification of key internal campaigns· Work closely with and support Industrial Placement in the team as required· Flexible to work across external campaigns and channels as requiredKey Skills Required· Excellent writing skills with consistent high attention to detail· Passionate about employee engagement and internal communications· Talent for visual communications development including videos, PowerPoint decks, infographics· Confidence in managing virtual events on Microsoft Teams and utilising the Microsoft 365 suite of tools to deliver effective communications - this might include, but not be limited to, Viva Engage, SharePoint and email distribution tools such as Poppulo· Delivery in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple stakeholders· Consistent delivery of high-quality results· An all-round working knowledge of the various disciplines of communications - particularly employee communications and engagement, social media and campaigns and events management.· Understanding of what makes a good news story· Flare for taking ideas and bringing them to life in creative and engaging way· Confidence, drive and initiative· Relationship builder who enjoys working with people· Team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the communications teams work· Highly organised and accountable, with great attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement· Comfortable developing a strong network across the business· Comfortable with taking full accountability for projects you lead· Ability to prioritise and do back planning to meet timelines· Flexibility in handling ad hoc requests with short deadlines
