Engineering Manager / Software Development Manager (Java 8 Algorithm AI Machine Learning). Would you like to take on a high profile role that will provide daily challenges, solve difficult problems and head up a talented team whilst enjoying a relaxed working environment with perks including flexible working, an amazing office environment and regular massages to name but a fewAs an Engineering Manager you will manage the Advanced Algorithm team that is the basis of the core product, a highly complex network discovery and infrastructure management tool that utilises AI and Machine Learning algorithms to allow large scale organisations to efficiently manage their IT set-up. As an Engineering Manager youll focus on diagnosing and removing obstacles that could prevent your team from delivering high quality software; youll foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor and technical advisor including planning and supporting career development across your team. You will help architect and build scalable and extensible products and services in a Cloud Native environment; identifying and building algorithms which are valuable to real world industry applications; write and review production quality code and partner with Data Scientists to transform stat-of-the-art algorithms and research into amazing products in a scalable and extensible way. Youll be based in the vibrant town of Kingston-upon-Thames in light and spacious modern offices with a fully stocked kitchen / break out area and games room, showers, secure bike storage and lots going on in the local area with great places for lunch and a very short walk to the river.Requirements:*Strong leadership skills with experience of managing senior, highly talented individuals *Advanced software engineering experience having worked on large scalable systems (any OO language - Java and Python preferred); although you wont be hands-on most of the time you need strong, recent technical experience to gain buy-in*Strong knowledge of advanced algorithm design and development; Machine Learning experience is highly desirable *Experience of dealing with scalability and performance issues on a distributed system*Good knowledge of Cloud Native architectures*Experience with microservices, Container orchestration and Containerisation technologies*Experience of Cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform*Collaborative with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a teamAs an Engineering Manager you will earn a competitive salary (to £100k) plus bonus and benefits.Apply now or call to find out more about this Engineering Manager / Software Development Manager (Java 8 Python OOP AWS GCP Machine Learning Algorithm) opportunity.
