Every day, bringing letters and parcels to people around the country; something that communities across the UK rely on. They are 150,000 strong with 500 years of history andare hugely proud of the service they provide.The RoleDuties involve loading a company 3.5t van with parcels, scanning with a handheld device as you go. You will then be required to follow a pre-planned route and delivery the parcels to the correct addresses, returning the van at the end of the day and unloadingany un-delivered goods.Additional duties could include letter delivery on foot, and some sorting work in the delivery office.About YouUpbeat and self-motivated, youll be as happy working alone as you will be working as part of a team and getting to know the different people on your round. Youll have a strong sense of community and the idea of doing a job that involves flexible working patternswill appeal to you.We deliver letters and parcels come rain or shine, so were looking for people who like being outdoors whatever the weather, youll also be someone who likes the idea of doing a job that will help you keep fit.Some experience in a customer facing role would be ideal.Driving Licence RequirementsA full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than six penalty points is essential, but a clean licence is preferred. Please note you will be required to have a DBS check completed prior to starting in this role and will needa valid proof of right to work in the UK.
