An exciting career opportunity has been created for an enthusiastic, numerate school leaver to join on of the largest financial advice firms in the UK, at their Kingsbridge offices.Training, fully funded industry recognised qualifications (DipFS) and a defined career path to financial adviser status are all on offer.The role involves working closely with a team of independent financial advisers, with support provided by Paraplanners.The purpose of the role is to provide technical support by way of research and annual reviews for the financial advisers.The Role- Extract client data from Fact Find.- Obtain information, quotes, illustrations and product details, and provide comparisons for analysis- Assist in identifying areas for planning and identify solutions suitable to meet the client’s needs and objectives- Research, analyse and complete recommendation reports for the adviser.- Prepare suitability letters and reports - This will include the pre-completion of documentation ready for clients to check and sign.- Provide support to the financial advisers and Paraplanners to ensure new business submission documentation is accurate.- Prepare, research and produce annual reviews, including for Drawdown Pensions.- Review the client’s investment portfolio, performance, asset allocation, risk profile etc and measure against Fairstone’s current risk criteria - Defaqto- Ensure that all research documentation is on file and that records are organised appropriately.- Fully understand compliance procedures- Maintain and comply with back-office processesThe Ideal CandidateThe list below details the ideal competencies you must have in order to be able to carryout your role as a Trainee Paraplanner effectively:- Have an understanding of the Financial Planning process- Able to work within defined business processes- Able to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision- Prioritise and plan own workload- Have attention to detail and accuracy- Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively- Good IT skills being fully competent with MS Office suite of products and be familiar with industry-specific applications.- Experience of maintaining good working relationships in the delivery of financial advice services or similar environment- Ability to assess information, make comparisons and identify critical features- Ability to acquire update and apply new skills and knowledge- Set own goals and want to deliver agreed targets- Strong interpersonal skills, in dealing with both clients and colleagues, with the aptitude to quickly build rapport- Ability to work on own initiative with strong organisational skills to plan and manage own workload and prioritise tasks as appropriate.- Ability to engage in independent study to achieve industry recognised qualifications, CII DipPFSPackage- Competitive ££ per annum dependent on skills and experience- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays- Birthday off as additional leave- Opportunity to purchase up to 5 days annual leave- Auto enrolment pension scheme- 4x Salary Death in Service- Training and support towards industry recognised certifications- Cycle to work scheme- Eye Care Vouchers
