Job Description

Pay: KR3 Start Date: November We are looking for an enthusiasticand hardworking teaching assistant to join our friendly and supportive team inupper KS2. The position is for five mornings (20 hours) between the hours of8.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. The position starts in Novemberand will initially be a fixed term contract for one year term time only.The successful candidate will beexpected to:

  • Be someone who enjoys workingwith children
  • Have relevant qualifications(e.g. NVQ3 / Level 3 Teaching Assistant)
  • Have relevant experience ofworking with children in KS2
  • Be a good team player, flexibleand prepared to use their initiative
  • Be committed to their ownprofessional development
  • Be imaginative, creative, veryenergetic and interested in moving on childrens learning
  • Have good interpersonal skillsand organisational skills
  • Have an interest in celebratingchildrens learning by classroom display
  • Support the ethos and wider lifeof the school

We are very well resourced with a well qualified and dedicatedteam of teaching and support staff. Our building is modern and is aunique linear design with extensive and beautiful grounds. At one end of ourschool we have a state of the art computer suite and library mezzanine. We havea large extended school hall which can be divided into two by acoustic doors,the smaller of which providing an area for sports activities. Our groundsincorporate a pond dipping area, poly tunnel, woodland walk and more recentlywe have had a Multi Use Games Area built and an all weather running track.Our School and all its personnelare committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children.
