Job Description

Pay: Kent Range3 Start Date: January 2021We are looking for a highlyskilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, dedicated andsupportive team in our EYFS Nursery Class from January 2021. Candidates should have experienceof working in this key stage and have an understanding of the EYFS Frameworkand Development Matters. It is also essential that candidates have theappropriate early years qualifications. Kings Hill School has one Nursery class whichopened in September 2020 and two established Reception classes. The Nurseryclass is already oversubscribed. Although the post will be primarily based inthe Nursery, there will be an expectation to work across all of the FoundationStage as a team. The successful applicant will berequired to work 32.5 hours per week (8.15am - 3.45 p.m. Monday to Friday, termtime only 38 weeks a year). This post is at Kent Range 3 which is £18,039 (FTE)The successful candidate will beexpected to:

  • Have previous experience in anEarly Years setting with the EYFS framework.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 orequivalent in Early Years and Childcare Development as defined by the DFEapproved qualifications guidelines.
  • Be imaginative, creative, veryenergetic and interested in childrens development.
  • Development.
  • To help children to access thefull EYFS curriculum, promoting independent learning both inside and outside ina free-flow environment.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge ofgood early years practice and the EYFS Curriculum.
  • Be a good team player, flexible,prepared to use their initiative and embrace change.
  • Be able to run small interventiongroups to support children with additional needs (i.e. Speech & Language,PSHE).
  • Be confident in using technologyto enhance learning and to record childrens achievements.
  • Has an ability to work closelywith parents to establish good relationships.
  • Be committed to their own professionaldevelopment.
  • Support the ethos and wider lifeof the school.
