Ability to work in production and service/customer support: mechanically putting together and supporting the product that has been designed is a key requirement as is the ability to work with the Electronics Engineers within the team.Software Engineer - The Role:As a Software Design and Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for helping to create a new generation of innovative products as well as helping to improve the current range of products as both customers and changes in technologies demand. You will design, prototype and help deploy precision electro-mechanical and optical instruments according to our R&D specifications (engineering is accredited to ISO 13485) whilst maintaining a commercial awareness. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the design and implementation, testing and documentation. You will be required to produce and follow project and product documentation to ISO13485 and be able to adopt a hands-on approach as and when the project requiresNaturally curious, you will seek to uncover new and better solutions to everyday problems by applying sound engineering principles and your experience to technical issues. You will take responsibility for the full product lifecycle: from early concepts and prototypes, to full production and upgrades. To this end, you will work closely with colleagues from sales and manufacturing as well as with suppliers to ensure technical and commercial success.You will have a good route for self-development and progression based on your abilities, dynamism and input!
