Ability to work in production and service/customer support: mechanically putting together and supporting the product that has been designed is a key requirement as is the ability to work with the Electronics Engineers within the team.Software Design Engineer - The Role:As a Software Design and Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for helping to create a new generation of innovative products as well as helping to improve the current range of products as both customers and changes in technologies demand. You will design, prototype and help deploy precision electro-mechanical and optical instruments according to our R&D specifications (engineering is accredited to ISO 13485) whilst maintaining a commercial awareness. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the design and implementation, testing and documentation. You will be required to produce and follow project and product documentation to ISO13485/IEC62304 and be able to adopt a hands-on approach as and when the project requiresNaturally curious, you will seek to uncover new and better solutions to everyday problems by applying sound engineering principles and your experience to technical issues. You will take responsibility for the full product lifecycle: from early concepts and prototypes, to full production and upgrades. To this end, you will workclosely with colleagues from sales and manufacturing as well as with suppliers to ensure technical and commercial success.You will have a good route for self-development and progression based on your abilities, dynamism and input! Participation in a fast moving, world class business, with the satisfaction of making a visible contribution to the success and growth of the business and World Health’ outcomes.To be considered for the role of Software Design and Implementation Engineer, you ideally would:• Possess at least one years’ experience, ideally three years’ in Windows OS based Graphic User Interface formulation.• Have good knowledge and utilization of Visual Studio and practical coding in C++ and C#.• Be experienced in the design of business type graphics.• Have good experience in database (SQL)management and implementation.• Have a good track record of communications protocol implementation especially Ethernet and USB. Experience in Wireless, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Protocols.• Have experience of managing projects from initial user requirement formulation to design, implementation and support.• Have creative problem-solving skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to handle multiple projects at once.• Ability to keep good documentation to meet our ISO13485 requirements. Code to IEC62304 would be a good asset.• Have well developed innovative design ideas for a leading-edge product.• Be able to present a portfolio of work, including examples of previous code and problem-solving abilities.• Be an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can set goals and achieve them within the remit of the Business Plan.• Have EU/UK residency or unfettered ability to work within the UK as well as a full, clean UK driving licence and access to a car.Remuneration PackageExcellent remuneration package commensurate with experience/ability to include Private Health Care, Excellent Contributory Pension Scheme and DIS benefits.If you have the required skills and experience, click on APPLY and forward your current CV and covering letter, with salary details, explaining why you are a good fit for this role.No Agencies please.
