Job Description

Fantastic HR AdvisorNorth opportunity available working for a leading utilities company. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to work in a busy HR generalist role where you will be able to support on plenty of value-added HRprojects including talent management and succession planning. You will have plenty of flexibility in the role and opportunity to work hybrid and at home. This is a multi-site role and there is regular travel to the different sites you will be responsible forand so needs somebody who is flexible regarding this also.As HR advisor, the main responsibility will be to offer advice to all colleagues and customers on Policies & Procedures, such as management of attendance, management of Disciplinary and Grievance process. Generally, ensuring that high standards are adoptedand met through all aspects of HR within the business is key.In this role you will also carry out job evaluations for new recruitments and for existing colleagues in the business where the job role has changed significantly.Assisting with employee relations and performance management is also a vital part of this role, from disciplinary to grievance processes and performance to capability assessments. Overall, the HR advisor is responsible for anything to do with HR, ensuringall policies are consistent and that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.Main duties and responsibilities include:-

  • Conducting Job Evaluations
  • Advising Managers on Policies and Procedures
  • Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes
  • Updating and maintaining HR Information system data
  • Write and present information briefings on a range of HR related topics
  • Advising on Staff Development
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Consulting on issues related to workplace relations and performance management
  • Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures, legislation and enterprise agreements
Requirements of the role:
  • CIPD qualified or working towards or equivalent work experience
  • Experience of working in a HR Generalist role
  • Experience of dealing with employee relation issues including disciplinary and grievance cases
  • Experience of working with Trade Unions
  • Experience of working in a multi-site HR role
  • Has access to their own vehicle for travel required in the role
